The goal is for participants to build a greater sense of belonging and purpose within the community. Studies have shown that when youth feel they belong to a community, they are less likely to engage in gang-related or violent behaviour.

VON Simcoe County Invites you to join the SMART Program (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together)®

WHAT: 45 minute low impact gentle exercise program specifically designed for adults 55+ to help build muscle strength, balance, endurance, flexibility and mobility

WHERE: Port McNicoll Community Centre (558-560 7th Ave, Port McNicoll ON)

WHEN: Tuesday's and Thursday’s @9:30am

WHO: Adults 55+

COST: FREE!

Please bring:

✓ Good, supportive shoes to wear (running shoes preferred)

✓ Water bottle

✓ Exercise band & ball (also available to purchase on site)

Mahjong is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century.

It is played by four players and a set of 144 tiles based on Chinese characters and symbols. Please call ahead to make sure we have a spot for you!

What do Bear Grylls, "Mac" MacGyver, and Wye Marsh Staff have in common? The uncanny ability to read signs in nature to get where they are going, and problem solve. Find out how to read clues in the wilderness to navigate your way North, East, South or West - day or night. 

Where: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre
When: Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 10 am - 11 am
How much: $30 + HST per person

● Drop off your puzzles at any branch during February, and receive a ticket for each puzzle you bring. Please make sure your puzzles are in good condition, and have all their pieces.
● Bring your tickets to the Victoria Harbour Branch on March 9th to pick out your new puzzles.

The Port McNicoll Lions Club🦁 is excited to be hosting a Free Community Skate! ⛸️March 10th at the Tay Rink! The fun starts at 12!

We are also proud to be joined by Bayport Legion Branch 545, Port McNicoll Youth Activity Group, Portarama Family Festival, Port Cafe, and Port McNicoll Minor Ball!

Through the generosity of these groups you can enjoy hotdogs, hot chocolate, Timbits, Chips and Candy Bags! 🌭🍩🍬🍭
